Just drifting by and noticed your discussions concerning the bridge. My belief is that most people in South Shelby County have little reason to need additional automobile or truck access to Talladega or Coosa County. It obviously will benefit the lawyers who have purchased the land relatively cheaply for condominiums on the now remote areas not easily accessible by the backroads of Talladega County. "What lies we weave when first we practice to deceive."
How could property values in Shelby County maintain, much less increase, with more property available for development? Seems to me the Shelby County property will hit a slump in value for ten to twenty-five years while the whole area grows in population and pollution.
Have you fellows ever spent much time on Lake Logan Martin in St. Clair County??? The congestion has exploded to the point there are no longer quiet fishing coves or safe places to ski and enjoy water sports due to the heavy boat and personal watercraft traffic. We are right in line for this type of congestion with overzealous, unregulated development. It sounds as though it's everyone for themselves. Let's share and uncover the truth before pointing fingers! Enjoy our paradise while it lasts!
