Private employers did add a lot of jobs in January compared to the government and that is really excellent news. This has not been the case for most of 2022 where the government added closer to 25% of all the new jobs. I suspect they are looking at the polls showing Trump beating Biden and are more optimistic, as they should be. As of right now he seems to possibly be ahead by the margin of fraud but that could change on a dime depending on the result of lawfare or some other unexpected event....the most likely being Biden gets the nomination and then declines to run and is replaced by a sentient candidate....so that excludes Kamala Harris.
I do think the numbers will be downgraded because that is what apparently always happens. In 2022 the total adjustments to the initial job numbers was reduced by close to 500,000 jobs. Of course this never gets in the news. But look at the chart below to put it into perspective. We are not far above where we were prior to the plandemic.
