Yes, I'm a new guy, please be kind. :-)
I'll be putting my boat into storage at the end of the season, and I was looking for advice. I heard some stories about marinas on the lake that would have made my hair curl if there was enough of it to curl. I don't know if they are true or not. I was going to publish them in a post then decided that I would ask if anyone has any marina horror stories. If someone has one that matches what I heard, I can probably take that as confirmation. And if anyone has any different horror stories, I can use those as guidance for choosing a marina for storage.
Thanks so much. And thanks to Tom for pointing me at this website. I'm sure you told me your last name but I forgot it ten seconds after it was out of your mouth. Sorry. :-(

much with your question because I don't use marina storage, but I haven't heard any horror stories either. Good luck finding info, and welcome to our forum.

That was an exciting first post but alas a mediocre subject. Welcome to the boards Fred. You'll find a lot of nice folks here with some good advice!

can't get their delicious pizza out fast enough. They have pretty good beer so I guess it's worth the wait.

Going to get your boat only to find out that it is somewhere else would be no fun, especially if the other marina was nowhere close. Was one of the marinas much better than the other, that is to say would your boat have been in better hands at one instead of the other? And since this is a situation I'd like to avoid, can you tell me which marina it was that did this? Thanks.

I stored my boat last year with a newly opened marina (an advertiser on this forum). They came and got my boat stored it and brought it back to me in the spring. The winterized it after picking it up and summarized iti before bringing it back. I got a discount for pre-paying the rental and they even prorated the rent when I went over the expiration date. I went by during the winter and checked on the boat a couple of times. I plan on putting it there again this winter.
I don't have a horror story, just a success story.

I had a hellacious problem with double-billing, but I think it was a matter of incompetence and not an outright attempt to steal my money. I don't know if this is the time or place to out them, so all I'll say is that the name of the marina starts with a "K." You can email me for the other seven letters. ;-)

Can't say I'm sure they read this form and I'm still under warranty.
