Saturday, after a stop at CatHouse. Their burgers are really good. Barely pink inside, moist, and nicely seared outside. My plate was a Patty Melt(grilled onion/cheese) and wife's was a Lunch Special Burger (cheese and a side of onion). Her plate was $5.95 incl. fries. Huge burger, half-pound. Mine was $7.95 incl. fries. Hers was a better deal, and delicious. Don't normally eat out around the lake, but it was a rainy day for a ride around. I would go back there for a burger anytime.

I'll go back again and see for myself. The last few times I have been there for the burgers I get one that's overdone and has had a big hack slice in the meat that was timely enough to dry the whole thing out. Can't the grill man tell doneness by touch after a few thousand burgers? I spoke with the waitress about it when I ordered the last time and got a burger that was dang near raw. Was that a message? I explained what the problem was and she said that "it wasn't her job to tell the cook that". This is not typical of Niffer's. But one more time....
