And our economy is tanking, banks are failing, border is wide open and about to be worse - and you focus on the one person who has nothing to do with the disasters that are going on today.

I repeat - dont count your chickens until the appeals process, your walls have been closing in for almost 8 years now, So dont drink your Mueller time too early....

As MM has said often, only a demonrat can get a "fair" trial in NY, a republican has little chance(and Trump has no chance)

I'm glad we agree that it's positive news.  Several reasons from my perspective. 

One, indeed women that are not partisan hacks will look at this and conclude that she was lying through her teeth.  She didn't claim she was assaulted, she claimed she was raped.  That he was found guilty under a lower standard than a criminal trial of a lesser crime by a Manhattan jury (i.e., 98% Democrats) proves only one thing...find the right venue and you can get a civil conviction.  As for the lower standard, unlike criminal trials civil only requires the preponderance of evidence and doesn't require a unanimous verdict.  There is a reason she never made this claim when it happened much less have him arrested.  She would have to provide evidence....something that is sorely lacking because it never happened.

Two, I've asked a few women if they would recall the date if they were raped.  Ask around and see what they say.  Date, time, hour, minute, second.  Why couldn't she recall the date?  Easy answer....so Trump could not prove he was elsewhere.  Sure, she was raped in a department store bathroom by a famous, wealthy New York developer but she can't recall the exact day.  That'll be fun on appeal when it's out of Manhattan.

Three, most women understand that sometimes and far too often women do in fact lie about rape.  Just look at the recent news on the Buffalo Bills kicker or the Duke lacrosse players and on and on.  Women are not so dumb to not see this for what it was.  A civil case brought by a seriously strange woman that thinks rape is sexy and funded by a billionaire TDS sufferer to damage Trump, not for the primary but for the general election.  There are lots of good reasons not to vote for Trump if you are left leaning...this should not be one of them.

Four, I predict that she will not see a dime and most likely will end up like Stormy...paying his legal fees.

And recall, I do not want Trump as the nominee so this is my unbiased view of all this.  I predicted they would find him guilty, I predict he will be indicted in GA and I predict the SC will likewise find some reason to indict him.  It is all to try to make him win the primary (not that he needs their help unfortunately) and lose in the general election.  Follow the money and the power and the control.  Believe me, it will be all they have in a Trump-Brandon rematch.  They sure can't run on Brandon's record, abysmal as it is.

The constant attacks and investigations against Trump are utter nonsense! Personally I can't believe that it's still going on, after all these years, like they have nothing better to do or more important matters to attend to

I actually think they want him on the ballot because they think they can beat him.  They know at best this will not matter in the primaries and may actually help him.  What they are counting on is this damaging him in the general election.

I saw E.Jean on one of the morning shows today.  She was positively gloating.  This is my problem with her story - first of all, for years she wrote a sex and relationshiop column in one of the magazines.  So she runs into Trump, who she doesn't know, in an upscale department store and agrees to try lingerie on for him.  He's in the dressing room while she does this.  She did not yell or try to get help while this was goign on.  She says she was raped.  She doesn't remember the date, she continues to shop at that store, and 30 years later, she decides to put this in a book she is writing.  She claims in court that she didn't try to get help, because women like her don't.  But apparently people like her write sex columns, claim she can dine out on her story about Trump.  A couple of her girlfriends claim that yes, she told them all about it at the time.  

So she claims he defamed her, when he said that she wasn't his type and that he doesn't know who she is.  She has been fired from writing her column.  She's 79 years old.  

Cannot believe that anyone would think that Trump could get a fair trial in NYC.  He didn't do a good job with his deposition  - in fact, it appeared to me that he wasn't taking it seriously.  But then, that is Trump.  

He'll appeal, hopefully outside of NYC.  She won't see a dime.  But she'll have something to "dine out on" for a while.

Heard this morning that she was instrumental/helped in getting the law changed so she could file on midnight the law changed just so she could file this.  What a joke.

If that is the case, whatever state that Tara Reade was raped in should change its laws and go after Biden for rape.
