Anybody ever use this as a rub? I picked some up at the DeKalb Farmer's Market this weekend. It's one of many Currys that generally come from India.
Smells great and doesn't taste hot as in chilie hot but has an intense flavor. Doesn't smell or taste like "Curry" you find in here in the US but is a type of curry nonetheless.
Found a few recipes that call for mixing it with plain yoghurt and using as a marinade.

Did chicken fingers last night and in addition to the usual seasonings of salt/pepper, garlic powder and a little Old Bay I used the Garam Masala. Even put some on the fries before serving. Very, very good! I'm wondering if the Garam Masala is best used with other seasonings especially the garlic.?????
For those of you that don't get to Atlanta to the DeKalb Farmer's Market here is a source for Garam Masala. Keep in mind that there are many variations on this Indo-Pakistani combination of spices but Penzey's is rock solid spice provider and this on should be just great.
i've never thought about using it other than with "indian" dishes.... i'm gonna put it to the front of my spice drawer and try it on some different foods. thanks for the suggestion!
Had some Romesco sauce tonight with steak and small white potatoes - my latest find at The DeKalb Market - and it was outstanding. There are lots of variations on this. I sure liked the bottle I brought home.
