As much as I detest the results in Ohio, this is how Federalism works and why SCOTUS eliminating Roe v Wade was the right decision.  Let individual states decide whether abortion should be legal, whether there should be restrictions and what those restrictions look like.  No doubt the pro-abortion crowd outspent the pro-lifers by more than $12M but that is on the pro-life movement to step up their game.  But undertand this, we have protections for innocent babies in many states because of this decision that would never have existed previously.

Those calling for the GOP to abandon this issue because it is a loser at the ballot box in some states are focused on the wrong thing.  We need to change hearts and minds in order for this battle to be won, but just because we lose it doesn't mean we should give up.  As for me, I believe in the saying, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul?"  I would much rather lose political power in support of something that I believe is the greatest moral evil in America.  And we have significantly more protection today than we did 4 years ago.  So the struggle continues but in the way it should....at the state level.

I agree 100% but until we take back the ballot boxes it is a lost cause.  Voting "irregularities" in 18 States, machines switching votes still, sketchy "gas leaks",etc. etc. etc. lend me to believe that voting is a waste of time.  Does anybody really beleive that the AG race in in Ohio got more votes cast than the Governors race?  They did it again yesterday and will do it again next year until the system is taken down and nothing but paper ballots allowed.  Joe has been right once since he started running and that is when he said they have the largest "voter fraud network in history".

"Does anybody really believe that the AG race in in Ohio got more votes cast than the Governors race?"  Makes no sense as there was no AG or Gov race in Ohio yesterday. Did you do a bumbas$ thing and screw up the states???

I personally think they should have left Roe vs. Wade alone.  I think the Republican stance is going to bite us in the butt.  Apparently this is an issue that a lot of people care about very much - enough to push their votes to Democrats.  And I know that a number of people here will disagree with me, but I honestly feel that the big issues facing our country - in fact, the very existence of our country, depend on us getting solid leadership.  I think we are in a critical point in our history.

Wrong again...the Gov of VA was elected in  2022 and is a Republican so there was no way that there was fraud. Try again...one more try.

Yours is not an uncommon response, even with those that are pro life or want reasonable limitations on abortion.  It is indeed pragmatic to abandon or minimize this issue if your only goal is worldly political power.  My view is that they are choosing worldly power over their own soul and that's not an exchange I am willing to make......cause, ya know...eternity is forever.   Saw an interesting article about abortion laws in the U.S. versus the rest of the world.  Very few civilized nations allow unfettered abortion after 20 weeks.  We are in a class with North Korea and China and out of step with most of the western world...well except Canada which has fully embraced the culture of death.  Think about that one.....the enlightened among us are always lecturing we need to be more like Europe, except when it comes to abortion.

But you are correct, women in the U.S. seem to covet the ability to terminate a pregnancy whenever and for whatever reason they want and they will vote against their own self interest in every other aspect of their lives to be able to abort a baby.  Think about that.  I vote to save babies and they vote to kill them......not a pretty picture.
